Let's celebrate Chocolate Week!

As you know.....it's currently Chocolate Week! Fuelling London’s love-affair with cocoa, a number of London venues have partnered with Divine to help chocoholics celebrate the occasion. During the week, cocoa bean connoisseurs will be able to indulge in an assortment of offerings across the capital.

Below, we have dipped into some of the capital’s sweet-toothed chocolate offerings:

Divine Chocolate ARTea at Lancaster London:

Having recently launched its hugely successful ARTea, Lancaster London will put a chocolate-y twist on the budding artists favourite with its Divine Chocolate ARTea. Inside the authentic painters box will lay an array of edible art, alongside tempting Divine chocolate treats.

State of the ‘Art’ Divine chocolate scones will be served alongside paint tubes filled with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam – giving you all the tools needed to devise a cocoa-creation. Lancaster London’s Divine Chocolate ARTea Afternoon Tea will be available from the hotel’s first floor Lounge Bar for £35.00 per person.

Chocolate Spa Treatment at K West:

K West Hotel & Spa has created a 'Good Enough to Eat’ Spa Treatment. The treatment will begin with a back exfoliation using a Mediterranean orange scrub, followed by a soothing sweet almond oil massage. A warm firming and hydrating chocolate mask will then be applied to the back, before moisturising it with a vanilla and cardamom oil. Available only during Chocolate Week, the limited edition K Spa treatment is priced at £90 per person, including access to the hotel’s award-winning Wet Spa facilities.

Guests will also be treated to the exclusive Chocolate Hopper Cocktail which will feature mint liqueur, white Mozart liqueur, double crème, Divine milk chocolate and dark chocolate Azteca bitters.

London Cocktail Week - Cobalt Grapefruit Margarita, K West

Welcome back to Tea With Me and Friends - we're back today with another cocktail to celebrate London Cocktail Week!

With award-winning bars and trendy hotels throwing open their doors to show off their most impressive tipples, Rock ‘n’ roll hotel K West has joined in the fiesta with its new Margarita, created especially for the week-long cocktail carnival.  

The brand new concoction, Cobalt Grapefruit Margarita, consists of Pisco, triple sec, blue curaçao, lemon juice and pink grapefruit juice. The drink is finished with a garnish of a white and red salt rim and a pink grapefruit wedge. 

The Cobalt Grapefruit Margaritas are available for £11.95 each.

The cocktail can be enjoyed in the hotel’s stylish Studio Bar area whilst listening to the in-house DJ on Fridays and Saturdays. Alternatively, head to Studio Kitchen on the mezzanine floor which boasts an urban New York vibe.

Time For......a sweet hot dog??

Welcome back to Tea With Me and Friends - we hope you are well today!

So, I'm pretty sure that most people who visit our afternoon tea blog has a bit of a sweet tooth, but I'm not sure how you're going to feel about our latest discovery.....the Daim Bar hot dog that will be available from K West Hotel & Spa in Shepherds Bush.

Yes, you read that correctly....a Daim Bar hot dog.....for those of you not sure what a Daim Bar is (they used to be called Dime Bars in the UK until 2005) it's basically a crunchy almond butter bar covered in milk chocolate.

K West has taken this humble chocolate bar and turned it into a hot dog shaped treat which is encased in a sweet brioche roll......

This hot dog even has it's own ketchup and mustard topping in the form of sweet mango and raspberry sauce!

If you fancy trying this really sweet treat it will be available at K West from 1st March, costing £5.50 each, or as part of the restaurant’s £22.50 Glam Rock Afternoon Tea.
